The goal in all cases should be to offer an integrated ear
and hearing care service to ensure each person gets the
right care at the right time in the right place. That is why
we will do the following:
• Raise awareness about tinnitus and the role primary care
audiology can play in supporting patients and the wider
NHS in meeting patient needs
• Support the dissemination and adoption of NICE
guidelines on adult hearing loss and tinnitus
• Call for more patients with tinnitus to have access to the
care they need on an individual basis, reflecting how
tinnitus affects them personally.
