Member alert: Covid-19 restoration of community health services for children and young people - 4 June 2020

NHS England/NHS Improvement has updated its Covid-19 prioritisation framework for children and young people, superseding its 2 April guidance.

The NHS has said as we move into the next phase of the pandemic response: “It is important that children, young people and families receive the care and support they need.”

Audiology services for children and young people were previously a ‘partial stop’. Now, the updated guidance instructs a ‘partial restoration’ and phasing back in of “other parts of the non-essential services, while retaining the ability to surge capacity if required”.

Learn more about the updated guidance.

We will update members as soon as the NHS updates its adult audiology advice.
