BAA publishes guidance on shared care

The BAA has uploaded guidance on the shared care of young people and children using audiology services. The guidance is for NHS, private and charity providers of hearing services, and was published in November 2017 but not publicised at the time.

Commenting on the guidance, Nafees Rahman of the NCHA said “This is a much improved document. The original document was put out to consultation in 2016 but also covered adults. That however led to some significant challenges. This new version, which excludes adults, overcomes many of those challenges, showing the consultation process was helpful.”
