Deaf patients ‘left behind’
Deaf patients are being ‘left behind’ by the NHS, the BBC reports. The Victoria Derbyshire television show reported that a lack of face-to-face interpreters is leading to deaf patients missing key operations and being informed of serious medical issues - such as a miscarriage - via a tablet computer. Those affected are now calling on the NHS for equal rights.
