Community audiology remains open to meet patient needs

As new lockdown restrictions come into force across the UK, community audiology can remain open and continue to meet patient needs safely.

Community audiology practices are essential healthcare services and operate from primary care sites which are permitted to remain open throughout the next phase of the pandemic.

Practices follow strict infection prevention and control (IPC) measures, including the use of PPE, and Covid-19 professional guidelines to ensure hearing and aural care needs can be met safely.

Members should continue to follow official public health advice and sector guidance throughout the next phase of the pandemic. Visit our Covid-19 resource hub for guidance and support.
