NCHA affiliates with major primary care association
The NCHA is now affiliated with the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC), the lead organisation supporting primary care delivery within the NHS Confederation
The NAPC has announced that it will now be working closely with the National Community Hearing Association, the Optical Confederation and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. The NCHA and other new partner organisations join the NAPC's established working relationships with theRoyal Pharmaceutical Society and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Senior leadership from the NCHA will be co-opted onto the council of the NAPC. As the voice of primary care for the NHS Confederation, the NAPC aim to create a force for change through a project to build 'stronger together' relationships.
Dr James Kingsland OBE, President of NAPC said, "We are delighted to be working with these organisations to facilitate collective solutions to the challenges currently facing our NHS, networking best practice and align policy developments within these organisations for the benefit of patients. Forming these strategic affiliations demonstrates how the wider NHS community can have a unified voice to help describe how the out of hospital care and urgent and emergency medicine can be delivered more efficiently and effectively."
Dr Nav Chana, Chairman of the NAPC added "If we are going to cope with demand outside hospital, improve care services and population health, the service urgently needs this type of joined up leadership, collaborative working and co-production of practical solutions for people at national and local level."
